SQLiteStudio has recently migrated to GitHub. This affects the source code repository, as well as issue tracker (bugs & feature requests). This should improve colaboration with potential contributors and also make it more readable, as GitHub has well established platform for the same. All bug reports from old tracker have been migrated to GitHub.
Version 3.1.1 released!
Among tons of bugfixes, there are some new features, such as plugins supporting wxSQLite and System.Data.SQLite databases (latter one only under Windows), batch importing with import() (and its import_*() family) function, support for "Row Value" from recent SQLite 3.15.0 and others - see ChangeLog for full list of changes.
Next major release - it brings SQLCipher plugin and support for new features from SQLite 3.9.x (indexed expressions, explicit View columns), but there is much, much more! See full changelog for details.
DbAndroid plugin 1.1.1 released
This is an update to Android plugin, which fixes some issues when connecting to the device using shell connection method.
This release brings one major feature - when editing foreign key column values user can pick value from dropdown list with valid values for this foreign key. There's also a new entry in context menu when clicked on foreign key cell - "go to referenced row in foreign table". There also some minor bugfixes. More details in the ChangeLog.
DbAndroid plugin freed!
The DbAndroid plugin is now free and open source. All details (including download links) are on forum page: click.
Back to donation funding and more free plugins
SQLiteStudio project is getting back to donation based funding model. Additionally each donation will be represented as brick(s) on The Wall of supporters. Soon the Android plugin will become free and open source! Stay tuned!
Accessing Android databases directly from your computer! Now it's possible with SQLiteStudio and DbAndroid plugin -
No more pulling and pushing database files. Browsing and editing databases directly on the device using SQLiteStudio - the handy and powerful way.
The plugin is available at the store (click).
If you want to just try it, you can get a trial license.
More details on the plugin - click here.
This version brings a long-awaited UI lifting which increases space for all data views. Less frame borders and margins, more data visibility! Database list now takes bottom-left corner (instead of bottom panel), making the list longer. This layout if configurable in settings. The SQL editor now saves contents (when using 'Save' action) to the previously saved/opened file, without asking for the file each time. There's also a new option when inserting new data rows to make it inserted above/below current row, or at the end of grid view. Finally, there are lots of bug fixes. More details as always in the Changelog. Enjoy!
Yet another bugfix release. This one is a crucial update, as it fixes bug #2838. It also fixes several other, less important bugs.
The 3.0.4 has been released!
The new version provides lots of bugfixes, new layout of database dialog and "ignore errors" option in import dialog. NOTE FOR LINUX USERS: the update engine for Linux doesn't handle update packages correctly. This is a bug that must be fixed. For now you will have to download the fresh package from here. Auto-updated package won't work for you.
This version comes with French and Russian translations! More translations are yet to come. There's also a lot of bugs fixed. See full changelog for details.
A new service with additional, proprietary plugins for SQLiteStudio is now available: https://salsoft.com.pl/store/, with first plugin providing support for SQLCipher encrypted databases. More plugins are yet to come, with even more awesome features! The link to the store is also available at the top menu of this page.
This version introduces language localization. Currently only Polish translation is available to test how it works, but 3.0.3 should come with more translations. There are also some other minor features and lots of bugs fixed. See changelog for full details.
This is a minor bugfix release with one tiny feature (data grid auto resizing). See changelog for details.
SQLiteStudio 3.0.0 released!
After almost 2 years the version 3.0.0 is finally here! It's rewritten from the scratch. It's faster, smoother, more powerful and looks awesome! You can see for yourself in the gallery (link in the menu on top). More detailed list of changes can be found in the changelog (link is also in the top menu).
The Wiki page
The wiki page has ben created for the needs of the project. It contains manuals, documentation and other useful stuff. You can enter wiki by address http://wiki.sqlitestudio.pl or just use the direct link from the menu on top of this site. Contents of the wiki are not complete yet. It's still being edited.
Beta 1 of version 3.0.0 is available!
Details on the forum (click).
Development preview 3
There is a version 3.0.0 development preview 3 available on the forum.
SQLiteStudio on facebook
SQLiteStudio has now it's page on facebook. All news, tips, etc will be published there, so you can track them easy if you use facebook.
The 3.0.0 version is still under development, but in the mean time I fixed one of the most annoying bugs in 2.1.x series - crashing when database has a trigger on a view. The second bug fixed is invalid double-quote escaping in exported CSV files. That's all that is fixed in this version. Other bugs are either not very important, or require a lot of effort, which I would rather point on getting 3.0.0 released.
SQLite support forum
During several years of SQLite tool development, I had to learn SQLite in details.
Therefore I created the subforum called "SQLite database", here, on our SQLiteStudio's forum. Feel free to ask any SQLite or SQL related questions. I will try to help as much as I can and have time. I hope as time goes by, more people will join and help each other.
This is not an official SQLite support forum in any means.
Bug reporting limited
The SQLiteStudio bug tracker is now limited to report only bugs entered directly on the web interface. Reporting from SQLiteStudio no longer works in order to stop duplicate reports from 2.1.x line. Those bugs are minor and won't be fixed in 2.1.x series. If you have any outstanding bug - enter it via web interface.
Reporting directly from SQLiteStudio will be reenabled for version 3.0.0, once it's released.
Just a minor bugfix release. Fixed Db Conversion dialog.
It's a quick bugfix release with few enhancements. See changelog for details.
Couple of weeks ago I decided to move from Tcl to C++ (and from Tk to Qt). Since this requires entire project to be rewritten from scratch, I decided to mark it with version 3.0.0.
Work is in progress. Details can be found on forum (click).
There will still be some bugfix releases for 2.1.x series, but not very often.
2.1.2 is out!
This version fixes many outstanding bugs. Upgrade is strongly recommended. See changelog for details.
Mac OS X port is still unstable, but with this version might get just a little more stable.
Project has a new domain - sqlitestudio.pl (the old one was sqlitestudio.one.pl). Old one is kept for now (but it redirects to new one), so everybody can adapt.
Mac OS X support
Due to SQLiteStudio problems with Mac OS X (described here) all the money from donations will be spent for the Mac box. So far I've collected about 20% of Mac box cost. The faster I can buy a Mac, the sooner most of Mac related bugs can be fixed.
This one brings bugfixes for most of bugs detected and reported in 2.1.0. Should be much more stable than 2.1.0, although not on Mac OS X - people using Mac OS X read this (click).
After over a year - there it is! New major version introduces many new fancy features. Some of you can see in the gallery. More you can read about on the ChangeLog page. Enjoy!
2.1.0 - Beta 2
The beta 2 is out. Many bugs from beta 1 got fixed. Enjoy and report any problems! Details on forum.
2.1.0 Beta 1
The Beta 1 is out if anyone's interested. Details - click here.
2.1.0 is almost ready!
A little status update. I've finished development work on 2.1.0! I'm still working very hard on getting Mac OS X binary that doesn't crash on random machines. This is harder than one might think. I'm also updating the manual. After this is done the 2.1.0 will be released, so it's getting closer and closer! :)
2.0.28 is out!
It's another bugfix releas. Possibly the last one before 2.1.0, but not sure yet.
2.0.27 is out!
This is a bugfix release after a long time. Unfortunately many MacOSX related problems are still there - they are really hard to track down and fix, but they will be fixed eventually. Nevertheless, many other bugs are fixed with this release, so enjoy!
It's not dead.
Hello folks! Due to my current situation (I have no PC nor internet connection at home) I wasn't updating much in regards of development, but I should be back on rails in a week or few. Please be patient and be sure that the project is still alive!
2.0.26 is out!
Yet another bugfix release. Details in the changelog.

Another bugfix release. Enjoy!
Thank you folks!
I'm very grateful for people who donated the project. It really makes me motivated to keep working even more (still bugfixing 2.0.x and working on 2.1.x parallely).
When I have some time I will be setting up some routine to contact donors and maybe publishing them on some kind of list of donors, or maybe I'll honor them in some other way. I don't know yet. Anyway, once again - thank you!
2.0.17 is out!
Another bugfix release. Enjoy!
2.0.16 is out!
Another bugfix release. Enjoy!
2.0.15 is out!
This is a minor bugfix release. Details in changelog. Enjoy!
How do you use SQLiteStudio? Leave your comments at forum (click here).
2.0.14 is out!
This is another bugfix release to bring 2.0.x series even more to perfection. It fixes about 20 bugs.
Binaries for FreeBSD are no longer provided, because they're too hard to maintain and pretty much no one uses them.
2.0.13 is out!
It's a mainly bugfix release, but it also introduces Chinese language and better navigation in datatype list in column dialog (using keyboard keys). Details as always in changelog.
The homepage has been moved to new hosting server. Also forum got updated to lastest version (unfortunately old posts are lost). Bug reporting system has also been changed. Now it's completly new management system (you can reach it by "report a bug" at the top).
2.0.12 is out!
Another fix for MacOS X (binaries built same way that 2.0.9 was) and some other minor fixes.
2.0.11 is out!
2.0.11 brings urgent bugfixes from last release - for MacOS X and Windows.
2.0.10 is out!
I deliver you a next set of bugfixes. Enjoy!
2.0.9 is out!
2.0.9 brings major bugfix for MacOSX (so it works there once again) and few other minor bugfixes.
2.0.8 is out!
Another bugfix release.
Few major problems came out in 2.0.6, so here's hotfix, a 2.0.7 version.
2.0.6 is out!
Version 2.0.6 is out and brings tons of bugfixes. There're also new translations: Italian, Dutch and Japanese. Enjoy!
I'm about to build Solaris SPARC binaries, but I don't have sparc machine. If you're interested in help, please see this (click).
Few other bugfixes.
Yet another bugfix version. Enjoy!
What platform binaries do you miss?
Platform binaries pool - make your vote!
This is another bugfix version. Enjoy!
Version 2.0.2 has been released. It's mainly a set of bugfixes. One new feature is custom encoding for data exporting. Enjoy!
Version 2.0.1 released
This is a bugfix release. Fixes all bugs found in 2.0.0, where also auto-update was broken, so you need to download 2.0.1 manually from download page.
SQLiteStudio 2.0.0 released!
It's been almost year and a half since last version was released. I won't bore you here. Just take a look at changelog, download binary for your system and enjoy!
The 2.0.0 is almost there!
SQLiteStudio entered beta tests and I took some screen shots for those who's interested. Take a look on screenshots page.
The final version should be released around a middle of november.
After quiet long delay I want to ensure everyone that work on SQLiteStudio is still in progress. I currently suspended it for a while (I got to pass academic degree project), but I'll back to it ASAP.
For now I can tell few interesting things that are already done in recent development version:
1. SQL parser - now it's the real "Parser", not a Regular Expression substitution, so we have much more smart syntax checking (marking errors on the fly!), smart syntax completion and much more!
2. Automatic checking for new version at application startup (can be disabled).
3. Exporting has been completly rewritten. Now it's plugin-based.
4. Status bar (below SQL editor) now contains icons to identify error/warning/info messages more easly.
5. Bug reporting has been rewritten - now it doesn't use webbrowser. User just fills bug report directly from SQLiteStudio (which usually contains needed information at the begining).
SQLiteStudio manual published
Manual is almost done. Only few last chapters needs to be written, so current state is already available under Documentation -> SQLiteStudio manual, as well as directly from SQLiteStudio menu -> Manual.
1.1.3 has been released!
Well folks, 1.1.3 is out! It introduces port to FreeBSD, but it's experimental and doesn't support SQLite2. Binary for all systems, including FreeBSD are ready in download section. There are also new translations - Spanish and German, thanks to authors for contribution! Enjoy!
Version 1.1.2 released!
I'm proud to announce SQLiteStudio 1.1.2. It's bugfix release which fixes many problems. See changelog for full details.
Translations status page
The new page is available - translations status. It helps to find out what languages are currently available and what is their status. It can be always reached from Documentation page.
SQLiteStudio homepage domain has now an alias: sqlitestudio.org. I hope it will be easier to remember.
Version 1.1.1 released!
This is bugfix version to 1.1.0. See list of fixed issues in ChangeLog
Version 1.1.0 released!
Version 1.1.0 is much more advanced than 1.0.x. It provides an old SQLite2 support, Solaris x86 port and much more. See changelog for full list of new features, changes and bugfixes.
Please report bugs and problems via bug reporting page or forum - I'll respond as far as I can.
There are fresh screenshots of incoming 1.1.0 version. Check them out!
SQLiteStudio 1.1 (still in development) runs on Solaris! I'm also working on ports for MacOSX and FreeBSD, but I cannot promise they will appear in version 1.1. Solaris binaries will propably be provided for download.
I apologize to everyone who reported a bug or an idea via 'Bug Report' interface on this website - I wasn't responding becouse bug reporting engine was putting reports to last page of bugs forum, thus I wasn't aware of their existance. It will be fixed. At this moment I'm in the middle of writting responses to all reports.
Work in progress
I want to reassure everyone. Work is still in dynamic progress for version 1.1.0. Most notable changes you can expect are: SQLite 2 support, rewritten SQL parser (better SQL editor completion hints, better formatting, better handling/recognizing of statements written by hand) and much more.
Version 1.0.1 released
This release provides few important fixes (see changelog at documentation page).
Forum engine has been upgraded. I hope it will reduce spam and provide better interface.
Few fixes on the website
Lauri Ojansivu has noticed and reported few major problems with this website, which are fixed now. First was broken Bug Reporting form, second was old paragraph about commercial licence on About page.
This is the day. 1.0.0 stable came out. Doors for new features are now open again.
Moved to GPL licence!
SQLiteStudio has been released under GPLv2 licence! I hope it will help to develop by third parties. Feel the freedom!
BETA-6 is out!
SQLiteStudio 1.0.0-beta6 is now available to download. This version provides just a few bug fixes (as many as reported) and one known bug (see full ChangeLog on Documentation page). Seems like final release is comming.
Beta 5 released!
Many bugfixes, few changes. See ChangeLog (at Documentation subpage) for all details. Please, check if you have any problems with exporting, since this part of code has been modified a lot and report bugs via on-line bug reporting engine.
Marry Christmas and a happy New Year!
Fast bug reporting engine is now rewritten in Tcl as well. This means that whole page has been moved to Tcl on new hosting server. Expect new Beta release very soon.
RSS channel is back
RSS channel has been rewriten in Tcl and is available again. Pay attention to changed link of RSS - now it ends with .rvt instead of .php.
Moving to new hosting server finished. Page was rewritten in Tcl by the way (previous version was in PHP). Some features are currently unavailable (like Fast bug reporting or RSS channel), but will be resumed soon.
Release (and remaining bug fixes) is delayed because of technical reasons (hosting switch). Beta5 is planned before Christmas.
SQLiteStudio at Ohloh
SQLiteStudio has been added to Ohloh service. You can watch project progress and see some statistics related to it.
New service is run - RSS feed. Be up to date!
Access it by RSS icon in top right corner.
1.0.0-beta4 is out!
After long delay there it is - BETA4! Numerous major and minor bugfixes, few new features. Enjoy!
I've added online preview of ChangeLog so users can read about changes before/without downloading source distribution. It's placed on Documentation page.
1.0.0-beta3 is out!
After more bugs fixed (this time it was just few obvious bugs) - BETA3 is ready for testing!
Remember that there is easy to use bug reporting form at 'Report a bug' page. No registering required!
1.0.0-beta2 is out!
Beta2 brings a lot of bugfixes and few minor changes. It's much more stable when compared to Beta1. Tests and bug reports are welcome!
1.0.0-beta1 is out!
I'm proud to announce SQLiteStudio 1.0.0-beta1! Get it from download page. Bug reports are welcome, as well as any suggestions. Visit the discussing forum and share your ideas and comments.
